I've never "bought" and Orca...

..I do, however, own one.  This is the tale of how I came into possession of this fine vessel.  Please read on:

It’s getting harder and harder to book a destination for a Safari lately, so I’ve adapted by branching out to different venues other then the Recruitment Channel in game.

So I was browsing the Corp Recruitment forum on Eve-O, looking for some likely candidates, when I happened on a thread by Tyson4213.  I shot him my typical EveMail:..

..and then continued searching for my next holiday location.  While looking for a good Corp to infiltrate I will end up sending out several EveMails like this, fishing for a bite.  About 1/2 will respond, but only about 1/4 will accept me.  So is the life of a emergent pilot.

But as luck would have it, I received a very promising reply from Tyson.  He liked what I had to offer, didn’t mention my bounty (200m) or my corp history (7 miles long).  We exchanged a few EveMails, as I was at work at the time, conversing about creating a HighSec Empire out of mining pixels in space.  But when I got home I was lucky enough to have about the best private convo with a CEO that an AWOXer could have:

At this point my acceptance into Tyson’s Corp was all but guaranteed.  And why shouldn’t it be?  I made my persona be beyond what he was looking for and I sold myself to the fullest.  Hook line and sinker.

At this point I needed to pace around my living room for a few moments, considering what Tyson had just said.  Could it be true?  Would he really let me “borrow” his extra Orca?  My heat was rapidly beating *holy.shit…holy.shit…holy.shit*.

While straight pimpin (Tyson, Thomas, stupid name lawl) was enroute with my free Orca, I wanted to keep him on the line.  I had told him that I would send out mails to other pilots that I had recruited for a different corp about joining his corp.  Good thing I was lying about the pilots wanting to join his new corp – I don’t think Tyson had enough Orca’s to hand out.

With the Orca in hand, now it’s time for phase two, either killing his Orca or getting him to eject.

Perfect.  At this time I fleet warped to his AFK Orca.  I was still in shock, thinking about the free Orca he had given me.  I absolutely HAD to kill his personal Orca.  I start laying into his Orca with my Torp Raven, but he’s still AFK.

SUDDENLY THE NEW ORDER!  PUT YOUR HANDS UP!!  Tyson (Thomas, straight pimpin, complete idiot) logged off at this time.  I waited out the 15 min countdown to about 5 minutes, hoping he would log back in.  But he didn’t, so I killed him.  Not 5 mins after the Orca was dead, none other then Thomas logged back in, in his pod.

Get to the point?  Quite rude, if you ask me.  Azandar (a Belligerent Undesirable who joined me with a neut logi for the hell of it) and I had spent a lot of time in space, spent a lot of time in conversation, and spent a lot of ammo in this whole venture.  Considering all that, I think the least Tyson could do is humor out showmanship.

But in the interest of making a long story short (too late), Tyson (Thomas, straight pimping, complete moron) wasn’t interested in paying a ransom for his pod.  So we killed him.  After that we shared a few parting words:
